Deep Relaxation, profound understanding

Yoga Nidra form of guided relaxation that is intended to bring students to a place of deep calm, where the various regions of the brain can be systematically awakened and enlivened. The name Yoga Nidra literally means 'The Yoga of Sleep', but the practice is designed to facilitate a profound, dreamlike relaxation without sleep itself. It is not hypnosis or lucid dreaming, as the mind is intended to stay present without crossing the border into sleep or unconsciousness.

While some sessions of Yoga Nidra may include an exploration into a personal sense of purpose, the practice is not intended to plant any explicit external guidance or message. Rather, the intention of Yoga Nidra is to integrate the mind and become familiar with our deeper selves in a relaxed, safe setting.

The Process

In this practice we systematically relax by drawing mindful attention to personal experience. As the practice progresses, the conscious mind is draw from the external to the internal, all the way to the border of the unconscious. This is all done lying down on the ground in a comfortable position, in a relaxed setting with minimal distraction.

Who is it for?

Anyone can do Yoga Nidra. The benefits are immediately apparent, many students report feeling an unprecedented sense of calm after practicing it. If you have difficulty resting, sleeping, relaxing, or simply slowing down your mind, this simple practice has the potential to revolutionize your daily life.
